Sigma Stroke Drill Series - Butterfly

Sigma Swimming
Happy Mothers' Day Swim Team and Adult Fitness Swimmers,

We continue our series on the importance of always chasing better technique. If you missed our first two weeks focusing on Breaststroke, click here. This week, we move on to Butterfly:

Fact of the week: Contrary to popular belief, butterfly is NOT the hardest stroke if you were to ask the majority of coaches. The mechanics of butterfly are much easier to master than strokes like breaststroke. Most problems in butterfly are the result of movements that are too extreme (too wide, narrow, high, deep), incorrectly timed, and/or not practiced enough.

How does my swimmer move up? Our group promotion standards are your guide to growing and graduating! Promotion times can be achieved in practice or swim meets. We prefer to see them happen at a swim meet!

See you at the pool!
